Desert Highlands was developed in 1983 by Lyle Anderson and the Golf course was designed by Jack Nicklaus.  It was the site of the first two skins games.  The property consists of approxiamtely 450 homes and home sites and it was turned over to the membership in 1995. 

In addition to the 18 golf holes, the club has an active tennis program with 13 courts including 4 grass courts. The club has an 18 hole putting course, a fitness center and a recently remodeled club house.

Troon Country Club is located near Pinnacle Peak in north Scottsdale.  The course was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Moorish.  It is a private club with a large surrounding area of residential communities.  You do not have to be a land owner to be a member of the club.  The club recently renovated the 50,000 square foot clubhouse.
